Alyson At The Races

Alyson Hannigan jumped behind the wheel for the 2000 Toyota Grand Prix Pro/celebrity race at Long Beach, USA.

Alyson sits in a classroom at the Willow Springs Raceway, just outside Los Angeles, not to learn her script, but to learn how to handle a racing car. Her classmates include George Lucas, Ashley Judd, Melissa Joan Hart and Josh Morrow.  The instructor teaches  the class how to shift gear, how to turn and how to avoid an accident!

Alyson is strapped into a blue and fluorescent yellow-green Celica, as she takes practice laps around the course under the watchful eye of her instructor.  She also learns how to control the car as it skids out on a practice "skid pad".  Luckily her boyfriend is with her throughout the training to whisk her away in the evenings for a bite to eat.

The training was hard going, so much for Alyson to remember.  She had to contend with aching legs, knees and an aching neck, which is due to the high speed driving!  And if that isn't enough, she has to go home and learn her script for Buffy, which is being filmed the next day!
